What do I do if my work doesn't schedule me, but won't fire me?

I work part time for a retail lingerie store, and my schedule is always changing. In the past, I had always been given some hours every week. However, the past few months have been very spotty,and it has now been over a month since I worked. I haven't done anything wrong, no way to fire me because of misconduct. I don't want to quit because I'm not sure I would receive unemployment money. Am I not being laid off because my boss doesn't want to pay me anything?Are they trying to get me to quit?What can I do?
